Our Locations

Our head office is located in Tipperary. This central location, just off the M8 motorway, allows our engineers to reach most locations in under 2 hours.

We expanded our operations in 2017, opening our Leinster branch in Tallaght, Co. Dublin, and our depot in Limerick, allowing us to better serve our customer base nationwide.

Campion has since continued growth and expansion since our inception, we now employs approx. 60 personnel incorporating electrical engineers, service engineers, chemical engineers, instrumentation engineers, safety team, administrative staff, IT department, stores team and sales team.

We promote the practice of upskilling and cross skilling engineers, providing our engineers with varied experience in every facet of the mechanical and electrical engineering aspect of the business with a view to support and encourage their development and provide superior customer service.

Our Fleet

Our fleet of over 40 vehicles includes a lorry fitted with an 80-ton crane, vacuum tanker, six potable water tankers, and eighteen service vehicles some of which are equipped with pump lifting cranes.

The Story So Far

1980s

Owner and founder Martin Campion opened the first Campion Mechanical and Electrical Engineering workshop at the back of his mother’s house on 1st September 1988. Martin saw an opportunity as there was an increase in the number of houses being built as well as expansion in the agricultural and industrial sectors at the time.

The business quickly expanded as a result of Martin’s hands on approach and prompt service and the first employee was hired in January 1989.

1990s

The current premises was purchased in November 1991 in the village of Gortnahoe and included a shop and store rooms. Business increased substantially over the next number of years. Space became limited and a new workshop and machinery was needed. Construction began in 1998 on a new large-scale workshop. The first block was laid by then Taoiseach Bertie Ahern.

2000s

This decade saw an increase in Campion involvement in projects nationwide for high profile customers, from Coolmore Stud in Tipperary and the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Powerscourt to The O2 Arena and National Conference Center in Dublin. The company expanded its team, workshop, and fleet to keep up with its rapid growth and nationwide presence, reaching 35 employees by 2008.

2010s

Campion undertook numerous municipal works such as the Limerick Tunnel. We also began working with Irish Water and increased the number of projects we were involved in. Campion began gaining recognition in the industry with award wins and nominations for their exceptional service and engineering ingenuity. The company expanded in 2017, opening its Dublin branch in Tallaght, Co. Dublin. Campion sought to diversify and innovate with the investment in our IT department and the development of Campion Connect. With the support of Enterprise Ireland we are preparing to bring our smart water monitoring systems to the European market.

2020s

Campion underwent a full company rebrand in 2020 to reflect the level of professionalism and growth in services. Campion completed an immense upgrade of the offices, workshop and canteen facilities reflecting the continued growth of the company. Campion were accredited to ISO 9001:2015 Quality, ISO 14001:2015 Environmental and ISO 45001:2015 Health and Safety standards. The company was nominated for “Project of the Year” and “Distributor of the Year” at the 2020 Pump Industry Awards.
